Agricultural Exhibit
We celebrate Laurens County’s rich farming heritage with a collection of antique farm implements on display in our agricultural exhibit. The sweat of labor is summoned to mind when viewing the mule collar and doubletree hitch used to attached working animals to a wagon. Even making apple cider took effort, as we can see from the hand-cranked cider mill on display. From the days of King Cotton we have a large cotton scale used to weigh bales, along with a turn-of-the-century photo of those bales stacked in the Laurens Public Square.
